JOAN AND TARA'S VISIT

July 19-24 - Daughter Joan, Granddaughter Tara, and Granddog Parqui from Athens, GA came to visit, and we had a great time.  It was extremely hot (upper 90's and low 100's) during their stay, so outdoor activities were curtailed somewhat.  Tara's pug (Parqui) loves the boat as she is able to get up on our couch and put her paws on the galley counter to take in food preparation, etc., always hoping that she might get a tasty morsel or two.

Pacqui is always ready to eat!

Just before they left for home, Pacqui succeeded in eating Bill's serving of peach cobbler!  Bad Dog!

The four of us and Pacqui went out in the dinghy almost every day to explore the area and go for a swim in the river to cool off.  It was so refreshing!!

Back aboard Omega, Char was in hog heaven as she loves to play games.  Let the games begin!  Tara is a stiff competitor and was definitely the champ of the week regardless of what game was played!

We invited our friends, Paul and Stacy Brannon, over for dinner one evening.  The Brannons are also from Athens, and Stacy's sister-in-law works with Joan and is a good friend.  Paul and Stacy live aboard their yacht Sea Sea here at Goose Pond Colony Marina.

Joan and Dad off for a hot scooter ride!

Other activities included a visit to the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro.  An interesting place to shop!  It's a huge store which has a large inventory of things lost in transit.
